Blankets distributed among cold-hit people in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, A total of 100 blankets were distributed among the cold-affected poor and helpless people living in Debiganj upazila of the district today. Inner Wheel Club Dhaka North East District-328 Bangladesh and Heavens Dream School and College have jointly arranged the programme. District Chairman of Inner Club Shahine Rafiq and Director of Heavens Dream School and College Afjal Hossein Harej handed over the blankets as the chief and special guests respectively at a programme held on the school premises. On the occasion, Vice-Principal of the school Nabiul Haman, Teacher Jahangir Alam and other staff of the organisations were present, among others. The School Director Harej said: “Poor and under privileged people of the district are suffering from the cold wave that was prevailing here from the very beginning of January month. The blankets will help to protect them at least a little from the suffering of cold.” He urged all influent people of the society to stand by the cold- affected poor
