Chair Nepal stresses students’ link to production


Kathmandu: Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said the students at public schools need to be linked to production, for which suitable curriculum is required.

During an inspection visit at Chapabot Secondary School of Shankharapur Municipality-1 on Sunday, Chairman Nepal viewed some public schools were drawing massive enrollment by catering quality education. Vocational education also helps in instilling creative faculty in students, he argued.

According to him, government had no option but to increase investment in education so that competent workforce could be produced. The former prime minister vowed initiatives for the construction of additional infrastructures for the school.

The former prime minister was informed about the status and activities of school by its principal Hari Bahadur Gautam, assistant principal Tejnath Dangal, and ward chair Baburam Dangal, among others.
