CPN (Maoist Centre)’s statute conference begins on Tuesday


Kathmandu: The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) is holding its Statute Conference in the capital from Tuesday. The party said that the entire preparations for the conference were completed. The event is to be held at 11:00 am at the meeting hall of Nepal Academy.

Maoist Centre’s central office’s secretary Dor Prasad Upadhyay said that more than 1,200 representatives from across the country will participate in the three-day conference.

Party’s central committee members, alternate central committee members, members of the three central commissions, seven territorial and three non-territorial province committees’ office-bearers and office-bearers of the sister organizations would attend the conference.

The party said that the Statute Conference is being organized to run the party in a more systematic manner.

Earlier, the party had formed a statute drafting committee under the leadership of vice-chairperson Pampha Bhusal.
