A Jubo League activist was killed in a road accident in Poura Bazaar area of the district town here early hours today.
The deceased was identified as M Islam Bhuttu, 46. a resident of the Post Office Para area of Kurigram Municipal Town.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kurigram Sadar Police Station Masudur Rahman said the accident occurred when a sand-laden truck hit a motorbike in the area around 12.30 am, leaving its rider M Islam Bhuttu dead on the spot.
Police seized the truck.
