Kathmandu: In the wake of groupism and factionalism plaguing the party for quite a while, the CPN (Maoist Centre) has made a resolve to dismantle such groups. The standing committee meeting of the party that concluded at the central office in Koteshwor today warned of action against leaders involved in activities that go beyond party decisions, according to Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.
According to National News Agency Nepal, various committees will be formed to monitor activities that jeopardize the party organization. The decision was shared by the spokesperson, who claimed that the Maoist Centre came up with the resolution for a clean and transformed party. A code of conduct and regulation will also be created to manage the party effectively.
Deputy General Secretary of the party, Janardan Sharma, has internalized the decision of the standing committee and agreed to sign it. The party plans to call a central committee meeting between the Dashain and Tihar festivals.
Importantly, the Maoist Centre has also decided to merge the Biplav-led party into it.
