Minister Acharya pledges support for quake survivors in collaboration with development partners

Jajarkot, Dec 25: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Surendra Raj Acharya said that the incumbent government was taking initiatives to provide more support to the quake survivors in collaboration with development partners.

Minister Acharya, while taking stock of the quake survivors at Rawatgaun in Bheri rural municipality in Jajarkot, the district jolted by 6.4 magnitude quake on November 3 night this year, shared that the government planned to shift the displaced quake survivors to the temporary shelters before the coming monsoon.

The Minister also extended his gratitude to various development partners such as Save the Children and local organizations for supporting the government of Nepal in post-quake search, rescue, treatment and relief package distribution by reaching out to the quake affected areas within 36 hours of the tremor.

Similarly, Bheri municipality mayor Chandra Prakash Gharti spoke of the need to take forward relief distribution operation along with reconstruction of the q
uake-damages houses and construction of temporary shelters for those hit hard by the quake.
