Nepal Socialist and Nepa National Parties Unite with CPN (Maoist Centre)

Kathmandu: The Nepal Socialist Party and the Nepa National Party have officially decided to unite with the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre). This development came after a meeting of the CPN (Maoist Centre) office-bearers held at the residence of Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Khumaltar, as stated by Vice Chairman and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Socialist Party, led by Ganga Narayan Shrestha, and the Nepa National Party, led by Bijay Sainju, are set to unite with the Maoist Centre. This strategic move is expected to bolster the political influence of the Maoist Centre in Nepal’s political landscape.

The meeting also reviewed the campaign focused on the Mid-Hill Highway, which had commenced from Baitadi in the Sudurpaschim Province. Spokesperson Sapkota shared that the first phase of this campaign has been successfully completed upon reaching Kaski in the Gandaki Province, with the second phase poised to begin from Pokhara towards the east.

In another significant agenda of the meeting, the Maoist Centre addressed the ongoing ‘visit visa’ case linked to the Tribhuvan International Airport immigration office. The party emphasized the need for an independent and impartial investigation into the matter, urging the Home Minister to facilitate this process, as highlighted by party spokesperson Sapkota.
