New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister Visits Nepal for Bilateral Talks


Kathmandu: New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Winston Peters, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu this afternoon for a two-day official visit to Nepal. During his stay, Peters will engage in several high-level meetings aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties between the two countries.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet with key Nepalese leaders, including President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, today. These meetings are expected to foster mutual understanding and cooperation on various issues of shared interest.



In addition to these courtesy calls, Peters is set to hold a bilateral meeting with Nepal’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, this evening. The discussions will culminate in a joint press conference, after which Foreign Minister Dr. Rana will host a dinner in honor of Peters. This visit marks the first time a Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs from New Zealand has visited Nepal, highlighting the significance of the occasion for both nations.
