Kathmandu: Over 4.77 million domestic and foreign tourists have visited the Narayanhiti Museum since its establishment 17 years ago, following the abolition of the monarchy and the transformation of the Narayanhiti Palace into a museum.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Information Officer at the Narayanhiti Palace Museum and Republic Monument Management and Operation Development Committee, Purushottam Thapa, reported that 260,000 people visited the museum in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. Furthermore, 46,700 individuals have toured the historical palace from mid-July to mid-November in the current fiscal year.
The government has set entry fees at Rs 50 for students, Rs 200 for Nepali citizens, Rs 500 for SAARC nationals, and Rs 1,000 for foreign nationals. The museum is open to the public every Saturday and on other public holidays.
