Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a fugitive
accused in a rape case from Berulia area of Saver.
The arrested was identified as Ibrahim Mollah, 46, son of Aziz Farazi, a
resident of Patuakhali District, senior ASP of RAB-2 Shihab Karim told BSS
today.
He said acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a raid in Berulia area
and arrested him on Wednesday night. He was arrested after four days of
filing a rape case against him.
According to the case documents, Ibrahim Molla raped a seven-year-old minor
girl in October 6, 2023 at Rupnagar area, Mirpur.
Just after the incident, the victim’s mother filed a rape case against him
with Rupnagar Police Station.
Necessary legal actions have been taken against him, the RAB official said.
