Kathmandu: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sushila Karki putting forth the party’s five-point demand. RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden presented the list of demands following a meeting with the Prime Minister on Saturday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the RPP’s demands focus on addressing the country’s current challenges ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections. The party has proposed organizing an all-side conference, ensuring the participation of Gen-Z, to devise a lasting solution. Additionally, the RPP has urged the government to facilitate the election process by granting voting rights to Nepali citizens residing abroad.
The memorandum also calls for an immediate cessation of arrests and legal actions against individuals participating in Gen-Z protests. Furthermore, the RPP has insisted on addressing the needs of martyr families and those injured in various incidents.
The submission of this memorandum indicates the RPP’s active involvement in shaping the political discourse as the elections approach.
