Three held with illegal GPS machineries in city


Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in

separate drives, arrested three people from Mirpur Model Thana and Sher-e-

Bangla Nagar areas in the capital on Tuesday.

The RAB members also seized frequency machineries without BRTC license and

without approval of government GPS tracker, tasslock GPS tracker and motolock

remote from their possession, Assistant Police Super and Assistant Director

(media) of RAB-10 MJ Sohel told BSS today.

The arrested were identified Md. Maksodul, 37, Md. Rohim Uddin, 23, and Md.

Rohim Uddin, 27.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the RAB-10 conducted separate drives in the

areas and arrested them with 65 GPS trackers, 140 tasslock trackers, 19

relay, five motolock remote and 14 SIM cards.

Legal action has been taken against the arrested persons, the RAB official

added.
