Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and Indian Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, held a meeting on the sidelines of the Sagarmatha Sambaad. The discussion focused on various dimensions of Nepal-India relations, mutual interests, and the exchange of cooperation between the two nations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Rana expressed her gratitude to Minister Yadav for participating in the inaugural edition of the Sagarmatha Sambaad, also known as the mountain dialogue. She highlighted the importance of the recently signed memorandum of understanding between Nepal and India on biodiversity conservation, describing it as significant for both countries.
The conversation also covered recent bilateral and formal meetings, as well as other engagements between Nepal and India. The ministers addressed how both countries could collaborate to mitigate the impacts of climate change, emphasizing it as a shared agenda.
Minister Yadav traveled to Kathmandu on Thursday to attend the event.
