Rapid Action Battalion in a drive last night
held a person who was awarded death sentence in a double murder case filed in
Shahporan Thana in the district in 2016.
The detainee was identified as Md Shipon Ahmed, a resident in Subid Bazar
area in Sylhet.
RAB-9 said today. They said on information they conducted a raid at around 8
pm last night in Dakhin Surma area in Sylhet city and held him, who was
awarded death sentence along with two other people by a Sylhet court in 2023
in Tapu and Razu murder case.
Shipon Ahmed was handed over to Airport Thana police, said Media Officer of
RAB-9 Senior ASP Afsan-Al-Mamun.
