Kathmandu: In a compelling session of the House of Representatives (HoR) today, lawmakers voiced their concerns on a range of pressing issues affecting the nation.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during a zero-hour discussion, Bina Lama urged the government to consider the welfare of Maryada Palaks or parliamentary marshals, specifically requesting the provision of nutritious snacks and meals to support their health and well-being.
Binita Kumari Singh criticized the government for its apparent indifference towards the implementation of the People’s Housing Programme, highlighting a critical issue in national housing policy.
Bina Jaiswal expressed worry over the undervaluation of loan securities by banks during auctions, calling on the Nepal Rastra Bank to strengthen its regulatory role to eliminate unnecessary obstacles in banking processes.
Shanti Shrestha emphasized the hopeful nature of the government’s upcoming fiscal policies aimed at poverty alleviation, urging their incorporation into the national budget. She also stressed the importance of additional measures to ensure all children have access to education.

Speaker Deveraj Ghimire informed the assembly that the scheduled session for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to address lawmakers’ questions, as stipulated by Chapter 9 of the House of Regulations- 209 BS, had been withdrawn from the meeting’s agenda.
