Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has extended best wishes to all fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters on the occasion of Chhath, a festival which is marked with a great joy wishing for the wellbeing of the family by offering worship to the sun god.
In a message today, Minister Sharma has said may this festival encourage all of us to maintain social goodwill and national unity by respecting the religions and cultures of all faiths.
Chhath, the festival of purity, goodwill and faith, was observed with high regard and much fanfare today. The main ritual of this four-day Chhath festival began in evening by worshipping and making offerings to the setting sun.
