A total of 24 officers and members of
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) were given honours as recognition for
their laudable performance in Rajshahi metropolis.
They were accorded the honor in a monthly crime review meeting held at RMP
headquarters here today (Monday) with Commissioner Anisur Rahman in the
chair.
In the review meeting, various issues related to law and order situation,
expediting the community and bit policing activities, carrying out of arrest
warrant and progress of the important cases were discussed elaborately.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Anisur Rahman urged his subordinate
colleagues to discharge their respective duties with utmost sincerity and
honesty to attain trust and confidence of the peace loving public in general.
He also urged them to prevent fake notes besides ensuring protection of the
buyers and sellers and traffic management in the sacrificial animal markets
before the Eid-ul-Adha.
Commissioner Rahman said the honour will encourage and inspire other RMP
members to do better performance.
Additional Commissioners Bijoy Basak and Shamsun Naher and Deputy
Commissioner Saifuddin Shaheen also addressed the meeting.
